A MESSAGE ABOUT LIT AND LIFELOCK
From Herbert Petit, Jr. – Department Insurance Administrator

The Legionnaire Insurance Trust (LIT) was founded with the purpose to provide Legionnaires with the most advanced and least expensive form of insurance to protect themselves and their families while providing our Department with a reliable source of income.

The Department of Louisiana became a participating member of the “Legionnaire Insurance Trust” in 1985.  Since its affiliation with the trust, Our Department’s Legion families have enjoyed access to a wide-range of products and services designed around the needs of veterans and their families.  The LIT, as the ONLY ENDORSED PROVIDER of the all Department’s voluntary purchase program, has made it possible for thousands of Legion families to collect millions of dollars in benefits in one or more of the products and/or services offered.  And because of the unique nature of the program, our Department has come to rely on the LIT steady source of income to assist our programs and endeavors.  These monies are only possible by the LIT providing great products and services to the Legionnaires while enjoying....THE FULL SUPPORT OF OUR DEPARTMENT.  One of LIT’s most popular programs is the LifeLock Program.  From time to time I will keep our membership up to date with LIT’s products and services.  If I can be of any assistance please don’t hesitate to call.
