New Song-“Stronger Now, America”
Composer-Tracy McCord
The song “Stronger Now, America”, by Tracy McCord was recorded in Baton Rouge, LA, in late September 2001. It is in memory of the victims of the September 11, 2001 tragedies. Tracy was inspired while listening to his young son hum in the car, and found himself hearing a song “come to him”. The next day he finished the song and searched for help in getting a means of recording it. He went to meet with the band, “Refuge”, of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. They saw the message this song offers and agreed to collaborate with Tracy to get into the studio. The result is truly special.
The song is a spiritually uplifting, patriotic song with a very “catchy” melody. It will leave you feeling “better” and with a sense of pride in our country.
In the period following the 9/11 tragedy, Tracy was invited to perform throughout the U.S. and for local TV appearances. The CD is available for $6.00 each plus shipping. All proceeds go to the victims’ relief fund in New York. Thousands have been sold and shared all around the U.S.
Today, Tracy sings in the Christian Contemporary Rock band “Refuge” and his “day job” is as a sales manager for a medical manufacturing company. He spends his free time with his wife and three children. He is working on his next CD due to be released in summer of 2006.
