The American Legion Legacy Run |
Registration is now open for The American Legion Legacy Run held in conjunction with the 2008 National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. The motorcycle run will be August 17-21, 2008 on a course from Indianapolis, Indiana to Phoenix for the start of the National Convention. Registration fees remain the same as in 2006 and 2007: $35 per Rider and $15 per passenger. Early registrations will get a free DVD of the 2006 and 2007 runs (until supplies are exhausted), in addition to the other items presented to participants. The 2008 American Legion Legacy Run release/waiver Registration Form is available for printing by clicking on the link below. An online printable registration form is available on the national website at www.legion.org/legacyrun American Legion National Commander Marty Conatser will help kick off the American Legion Legacy Run with a national gathering of The American Legion Riders at American Legion Post 64 in Indianapolis. The riders will tour through six states as they arrive at the site of the 90th Annual American Legion National Convention in Phoenix on August 21, 2008. The riders will journey for five consecutive days to make possible a college education for the children of their fallen comrades, who died defending our freedoms since the attacks of 9-11-01. The ride is open to any motorcycle riders or groups interested in supporting these children. In Phoenix, the ALLR participants will have time to socialize as guests of the Arizona American Legion Riders and will be invited to lead the historic American Legion National Convention Parade on Sunday, August 24, before departing for home.
