| POW/MIA CEREMONY - WEST MONROE - SEPTEMBER 17, 2010 |
A ceremony honoring POW-MIAs was held in West Monroe on September 17, 2010. It was hosted by Troyce Carter, Post 13 and State POW-MIA Chairman; Louis Watts, Post 201; J.R. Johnson, 5th District Commander; Joe Malone, State Color Bearer; Al Sanders and Dexter Sanders, Sons of The American Legion; and VFW Post 3993, West Monroe, LA. Roger Beale performed as Bugler and the West Monroe High School, Ouachita High School, and West Ouachita High School Jr. ROTCs participated in the ceremony. Louisiana Secretary of Veterans Affairs Lane Carson was also in attendance at the ceremony.
