Meeting Times
Harvey-Marrero Post 222 meets the first Thursday of every month. Meal is served at 6:00 PM sharp and the meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM. The SAL Squadron 222 meets the same night with their meeting and meal times coinciding with the Post.

POST 222 HOSTS 2nd DISTRICT 2011 SPRING CONFERENCE
Harvey-Marrero American Legion Post 222 hosted the 2nd District Spring Conference on Sunday, March 13, 2011. 2nd District Commander Melton J. Gaspard hosted the Conference which had State Commander Dan Leonard and State Adjutant Matt Farlow among the guests attending. State Auxiliary President Barbara White attended the Ladies meeting which was hosted by 2nd District Ladies Auxiliary President Marilyn Beauford. The Ladies met separately and then a meal was served to all following the Conference.
Post 222 received two special awards at the Conference. One award was for the Post obtaining 100% in membership. (See photo left) The second award was the Wayne Barras Award for placing 1st in their category in obtaining the highest percentage of membership within District Two. (See photo right)

POST 222 PRESENTS AWARD TO CAMERON DUGAS, III
Harvey-Marrero Post 222 Commander Fred Schasser (Left) and Department Commander Dan Leonard (Right) present an American Legion Citation, a check, and a Musician Award to Cameron Dugas, III (Center). Dugas, who is a Junior at LaSalle High School, placed third in the State Competition for Jazz Ensemble. His Grandfather, Cameron Dugas, has been a member of Post 222 for over sixty years. This presentation was held at the Post's regularly scheduled December meeting.

Harvey-Marrero Post 222 now has both a Cub Scout troop and a Boy Scout troop - Troops 1101. We welcome them to the Post and are excited to have them. (Photo shows Post Commander Fred Schasser with the troops at their first Post meeting.)
