Alonzo Sanders, Sr.
Mr. Sanders entered Post Everlasting on Saturday, July 11, 2009. He was 101 and the oldest living Legionnaire in the Department of Louisiana and possibly the oldest living WWII veteran in Louisiana. Mr. Sanders was a member of Post 521 Monroe, District 5 and the father of Past Department Vice Commander Alonzo "Al" Sanders, Jr.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Delhi Civic Center, Delhi, Louisiana with interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Epps, LA.
