| Louisiana Veterans Receive Medals at American Legion Department of Louisiana State Convention |
As part of the Department of Louisiana State Convention, Governor Jindal, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs, presented the new Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal to veterans in a special program. The medals were created to honor all Louisiana veterans serving in all wars in appreciation of their service from our great state and its grateful citizens. Family members of deceased veterans were also able to apply and receive the tasteful and elegant medal on their behalf.
